Brilliant. A great photograph and a great pose. It exudes the 80s with the hair and the bra straps. I keepthinking of an "Everything but the Girl." music video. Not that your sister looks like Tracy...But I do love her voice and the intelligence of the lyrics. Anyway, thanks for the memories.
What a beautiful photo! It looks even older than it is, (in a good way). Something about her features, combined with the B&W, suggests the early 1900s. Just lovely!
Wow Tintin, I (the subject of this photo!) love EBTG. Thankfully, given that I was 13 when this photo was taken, I didn't share the guys' little "problems" with substance, but I see what you mean. It's got a grungy, grainy feel to it.
I confess that I am not a huge fan of the subject of this photo: it's like that line from the Simpsons. "The Yearbook: Memorialising Your Awkward Phase." Adolescence is not a great period in your life, but I do love how this photo captures its awkwardness...but also has some sense of inner peace to it. It's beautifully composed.
Most Americans don't know EBTG from CBGB or Paul Weller from Peter Weller.
You hit on a point...while pictures in our youth can be awkward there's something about looking at that picture when you're older. We see the inner peace in our eyes but there's all that promise of the future. What we didn't know was gonna happen...And it comes roaring back to us...You just need a good picture for that. And you got one.

I love this portrait! It is so beautiful! I think that one of the most difficult things is to get a real good portrait, this one is amazing!
Beautiful softness. Her skin is creamy and smooth-looking. So moody!
Beautiful- simple but powerful!
Beautiful.
That is a beautiful portrait.
I love your nature or architecture shots, but this one is really stunning.
